Tia's Iced Tea

Ingredients:

  • 5 tea bags (ginger or black tea)

  • 2 liters of water

  • 2 1/2 cups raw sugar

  • Juice of 2 lemons

  • 1 lemon for garnish

  • Pinch of salt

Directions

  • Boil the water in one large pot. Once it has come to a boil, add tea bags and steep for 5-10 minutes until dark in color.

  • Stir in sugar until dissolved.

  • Make sure tea has stopped boiling, then stir in lemon juice and pinch of salt.

  • Cool for one hour, then refrigerate.

  • Add ice, lemon slices for garnish, and serve.

Makes 2 liters of tea serving 15 cups.
